In theory this should raise the prices for the remaining fishermen but who are in any event getting fewer and fewer. In more and more countries it is no forbidden to sell wild salmon. The market however is virtually full of farmed salmon and the general public really does not know the difference.

Sincerely,

OrriThe Green Skeptichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14109745749448651817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9310432.post-90774404812587529732007-10-25T12:37:00.000-05:002007-10-25T12:37:00.000-05:00oh my god save the salmon...uh, what about the vod...oh my god save the salmon...uh, what about the vodka guy basically side stepping the morality issue of underage drinking..why doesn't he pay liquor store owners not to sell his stuff, oh yeah..that's cuz he makes money

whatever....Randall Clarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17920512217193285400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9310432.post-64524392253054880822007-10-19T17:11:00.000-05:002007-10-19T17:11:00.000-05:00Another interesting view on global warming...http:...Another interesting view on global warming...

http://rightatrivier.blogspot.com/Rivier College Republicanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00048794873389748646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9310432.post-82272866912604571452007-10-17T00:20:00.000-05:002007-10-17T00:20:00.000-05:00Interesting article...sounds similar to a trend in...Interesting article...sounds similar to a trend in the real estate sector which is the purchasing of environmental easements which can be very narrow in nature (ie. limiting development on specific parcel). My question is: If Mr. Vigfusson pays the salmon fishermen NOT to fish, what does this do to the overall supply and demand of the market? In the long term, doesn't this create a lack of salmon supply thereby increasing the cost to the consumer? Also, wouldn't this increased salmon value entice other fishermen to enter the market? These fishermen would have to be paid NOT to fish, right?Johnnyboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17450265079294659570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9310432.post-34838767121307194692007-10-16T21:39:00.000-05:002007-10-16T21:39:00.000-05:00Posted by Christopher Bassoo, CanadaI wanted to th...Posted by Christopher Bassoo, Canada

I wanted to thank you for the informative and enjoyable read.
